I made the mistake of a scam and ended up with Ultra Viewer App on my computer. When I try to UNINSTALL it a popup asks me "DO YOU WANT TO ALLOW THIS APP FROM AN UNKNOWN PUBLISHER TO MAKE CHANGES TO YOU DEVICE?" This is the info uninsooo.exe Publisher: UNKNOWN File Origin Hard Drive on this computer. Can I safely continue to delete it?

As you've already done a full scan with Windows Defender, you can rest assured that these folders are created and left automatically by the system in case you ever use the application again, nothing more, but you can try to remove them, make sure make sure you are using administrator privileges:

Windows+R, type: netplwiz, press enter, select your user>Properties>Group membership, select administrator, apply and Ok.

Thank you Claudier! I have been able to uninstall this APP and ran a full Windows Defender scan with a clean scan.

I have one more issue with this Ultra viewer. There is a folder with four files.

They a HtmlAgilityPack.tlb , Language.ini , RemoteControl40.tlb , and UltraViewerService_log.txt . When I select one and press DELETE I get a popup with the message "File Access Denied" "You'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this file" Can I do this? Should I just leave them? I would prefer to delete the folder and files so I can feel free of this bad experience.

    Thank you again,

Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

This application is used for someone to access your desktop remotely, if you downloaded it from the workshop site, I believe you have no problem.

    To uninstall:

Windows+R, type: appwiz.cpl, press enter,s select application, Uninstall. If he asks any questions, he can proceed with the uninstallation, then, to feel more secure, check him like this:

    -Verification with Windows Defender:

Uninstall any third-party anti-malware, many antiviruses have their own removal tool. Visit the Installed Software website for more information. Your system will not be unprotected as Windows has its own security system that automatically enables as soon as you restart your computer.

leave just Windows Defender, then Windows+i, update & security, Windows security, open Windows security, virus and threat protection, scan options, tick and run a full scan, then tick and run an offline scan.

Feel free to leave your opinion, marking it as answered if the answer helped, or leaving more details so we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

    Sincerely,

    Claudeir
