Help, My PC makes a loud beeping sound, AMBER alert-like sound, and another loud beeping sound while trying to turn it on!

This happened today. I connected the (I think, don’t really know what it’s called) power cord into my PC, and pressed the power button. My computer then started making some weird, loud noises. A loud beeping noise, an Amber alert/fire alarm-like sound, don’t really know how to describe it, and another beeping sound. I told one of my family members to come and check, and they told me to unplug the power cord from the wall and my computer. I really don’t know why my PC made these sounds. I’m thinking that it might be related to the fan, but probably not. I really don’t know. I’m not a tech expert! Please help! I would turn my computer on again and record a video to show you the noises my PC makes, but I’m really too scared to turn it back on.

Edit: My PC is back to normal. Seems like this was a one time thing.

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Most computers, when you start them, run what's called a "power on self test" or POST. If a hardware problem is detected, they give a set of diagnostic beeps in a code pattern. Your computer manufacturer's web site should have a manual for your exact model of computer that explains what the beep codes of the POST mean.

If it's not a beep code, it could be some other hardware failure making noise, such as the fan that you mention.
