    Hey there Brock!

My name is Miguel Ángel and I'm an independent advisor, also a Microsoft user just like you! I'll try to help you today with your issue.

The HID Compliant Game Controller Driver is nothing you should worry about, because it will reinstall whenever it finds the game controller plugged in. That means that if you, for example, use a USB gamepad, it'll just reinstall the drivers whenever you plug it in, same with any controller.

Just to be sure, you can go to the Device Manager and click on the icon of a monitor with a magnifier, whose functionality is just looking for any installed hardware and installing their drivers. If it doesn't find anything, no worries, as it'll find the appropriate driver whenever you plug in a USB/BT controller.

I'll wait for your reply! Don't worry, everything will be okay.

    Hugs,

    Miguel Ángel :)

    Hi BrockR9

How are you? I hope you are doing good.

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I am Juliet, an independent advisor. It's my pleasure to help you today. I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you :)

Go to the website for the manufacturer of your PC. There should be a link for support/drivers. From there you can enter your computer model or serial number. They will then give you a list of all the drivers specific to your hardware. You can download and re-install them from there.

Also, you could simply perform system restore
