Can someone please recommend software which will allow me to create a DVD playable in a home DVD player, from an MP4 file?

I tried Roxio which was junk!

Hello how are you? My name is Marcelo C., I am an independent consultant, I am here to help you in the best possible way.

you can use this program to do this:

    https://www.freemake.com/how_to/how_to_convert_...

Hit "Burn" to convert MP4 to DVD once you’re ready. Put a blank DVD-R or RW (or other disc types) into your DVD-ROM drive and choose it as a destination. Please note that you can’t put your video files on a CD with our DVD burner software.

The process will take some time. The conversion speed will depend on your drive model and the resulted video duration. When the process is done, the app will offer you to make one more copy of the project. Accept the offer, if necessary. Enjoy the new DVD movie on your home player.

If you don’t have a blank disc at the moment, you may export your project as a DVD folder or ISO image and save on the hard drive disk of your computer or USB flash. For the last option, insert it in a port beforehand. Just choose the respective option in the format settings window. You will be able to add your project into Freemake again and write it on a disc at any time.

In the same way, you can convert AVI video to DVD or archive your DVDs collection with our free DVD Ripper.
