Show desktop button not working when clicking on bottom right

The show desktop button doesn't work when the mouse is in the far bottom right corner of the screen. When the mouse is on the bottom of the screen and I move my mouse, every icon can be highlighted except for the show desktop button. The button still works when clicked anywhere but the bottom right. This is an inconvenience for me as I used to be able to quickly move my mouse to the bottom right of my screen and show desktop, but since I got a new PC this hasn't been working. I have tried reinstalling windows and had no luck with it. Any fix to this as win+d isn't as comfortable for me.

Thanks.

Have you looked at Settings>Personalization>Taskbar and turned it On?

The best option is to use the Windows Key + D to toggle between Desktop and your open Apps, that keyboard shortcut does the same thing as the Peek button on the Taskbar

    Hi, italixx

How are you? Welcome to the Microsoft community!

My name is Juliana, I'm an independent advisor, I'm here to help you in the best possible way.

    1. Click the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys
    2. Roll your mouse down and look for Windows Explorer in it and click Restart

Do the test, and see if it works again, if it didn't solve the error, go to the step below:

    STEP 2

    1. Click the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys
    2. Click File and Run New Task and type: Msconfig and click Ok
    3. Click Services check the box Hide all Microsoft services, disable all those left, click Apply and OK
    4. Restart the system

Take the test, if it didn't, go to the step below:

    STEP 3

    1. Click the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys
    2. Click File and Run New Task and type: PowerShell and check the box create this task with administrative privileges and click OK
    3. Within PowerShell run the command below and enter:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "SystemApps"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Ignore errors that may arise and let the process complete.

After it is finished Restart the System and see if it works again.

I await news, I hope I have helped!

Yes it is turned on in settings.

I'm unsure if you can see from screenshots but picture 1 is my mouse fully in the left corner of my screen and I am still able to click and it will open start menu.

Picture 2 is my mouse fully in the right corner and as you can see the show desktop button is not highlighted and will do nothing when I click.

Picture 3 is my mouse in the middle of the button and it allows me to click to show desktop, you can also see that the button is highlighted.
