Virtualbox Windows virtual machine has only a few display resolutions

I am running Windows 10 on a virtual machine, using VirtualBox. When I tried to change the display resolution it only gives me a few options, which are all 4:3 or 5:4. They are:

800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200.

My PC has a monitor of 1920x1080 display, so is it possible to change the VirtualBox VM to match the screen display resolution?

I just drag the VirtualBox window to the size I want but you can run it full screen if you wish, which is what you suggest by matching the host screen resolution.

Also make sure the Video memory is set at max.

Yes, make sure the video memory is set to max. You can also get a better answer from Virtualbox support.

Yes, I just installed the VirtualBox guest addons, as well as the extension pack. Right now I could still see the same resolution options though, but no other options for wide screens. Am I supposed to change the settings of the virtual device?

Hi. You need to install the extension pack and guest additions iso. When installed restart Windows and then use the settings on vbox.

    Hi Me,

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor here to assist you.

Have you installed Virtualbox drivers? I believe the name for the same is Guest additions.
