Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We will certainly look into this for you.
I would suggest you to try performing Clean Print and see if you are able to print the documents normally.
Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
Refer the article to Create a system restore point.

- Click on Printers, select all the printers (Press Ctrl when selecting), right click and select Cancel all jobs to delete the pending print jobs.
- If PMC is not available, open printer’s print queue via Settings (Windows key + I, Devices) and cancel all pending print jobs.
Step 3: Remove all third-party printers
- Press Windows key + R, type control printers and click on OK.
- Now, right click on the third party printers and select Remove.
- If this doesn’t work, press Windows key + R, type regedit and click on OK.

- Under Printers, delete all the third party printers except:
- Fax
- Microsoft Print to PDF

Step 4: Remove all third-party drivers
- Press Windows key + I, to open Settings.
- Click on Devices, and select Printers & scanners on the left pane.
- Now, click on Print server properties and select the Drivers tab.
- Remove all the third party drivers. Do not remove any Microsoft print driver.
Step 5: Uninstall OEM software
- Press Windows key + R, type appwiz.cpl and click on OK.
- Find and uninstall all the printer related OEM software.
- Verify the same from registry by navigating to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitor

Step 7: Re-add the printer

Let us know how it goes.

2021-08-24T16:59:39+00:00 I always ask about the simple stuff--the new cartridges have a small tape on the ink port that must be removed when installing . Check all the cartridges to check if tape is still there and remove it. Your computer should still have the printer drivers installed. If you have a new computer install the drivers you download from Epson. Epson XP-440 driver & Software downloads - Epson Drivers (drivers-epson.com)

2021-08-24T04:50:17+00:00 Hello Horace,
Thank you for responding. I probably went 6 months without using it. Although I did do the Nozzle
check and Head cleaning. Will an Epson XP-440 still print if one of the colors is low? I have never had this problem before with low ink. I normally use a Canon printer. But I was in a pinch due to ink level on that one. I know horrible huh?

2021-08-23T20:42:03+00:00 How long did you go without using the printer? What make and model of printer do you have? Unless the printer cleans itself or you use it often the ink may have dried and clogged the print heads. My printer, a brother MFC-J825DW cleans the heads about once a week but I also print something almost every day.
