Hi, my name is Neil, I'm an independent adviser and a Windows 10 user like you.

"The Intel Content Protection HECI Service (filename: IntelCpHeciSvc.exe) is a program that is centred primarily on HDMI films etc. If you do not view such DRM protected content, you can disable this service."

So, if you don't watch things like Blu Ray films on your computer, you can safely disable this service.

To disable this service, in the search box on your taskbar type the following: SERVICES

Click on Services (App) in the results.

Go down the list of services until you find "Intel Content Protection HECI Service".

Right click on it and then click on "Properties".

Where it says "Startup type:" click the drop down box and change this to "Disabled".

Click the "Apply" button and then click OK.

Reboot your computer and you should find the error no longer appears.

    I hope this helps.

Let me know if you need any further help.

    Kindest regards,

    Neil

    Hi,

The The Intel Content Protection HECI Service gets installed with Intel HD graphics drivers and is related to the DRM protection of premium protected video playback.

You can find multiple resources online where this is stated. See the reply to the question here on Intel's website: https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/can-any...

Try reinstalling your Intel Graphics card drivers to fix this service. Let me know if you need help to do this. This is definitely where this service gets installed.

However, if you want to reinstall the Intel Management Engine Interface (Intel MEI) you need to reinstall the Intel Management Engine Driver from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/67496/...

You'll want the Intel:registered: Management Engine Driver for Windows 8.1* and Windows:registered: 10.

After reinstalling the (graphics) drivers, you should be able to enable the service, or it may be already enabled.

Let me know how you get on.

    Kindest regards,

    Neil
