Programm does not disappear after uninstall

I recently installed MikTex 2.9 on my pc, but since I use another app, I decided to uninstall it.

Despite I uninstalled "successfully" the program it is still there in the program list. If I try to uninstall it again it gives me an error. Appears the MikTex console and asks me to upgrade the program.

I tried to use "MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta" but it can't even see MikTex.

How can I fix this?

Thank you in advance

    Good Day AndreadeMarco2,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 and a community member like you.

I can feel the urgency to get this fixed, let us work together to sort this out.

Possibly there are still remnants of the apps or leftovers, try to uninstall it using the free version of Revo uninstaller.

    https://www.revouninstaller.com/download-profes...

-Once downloaded , open the app.

    -Click Forced Uninstall

-Type the name of the app and hit Next

The Revo app will scan all the left overs of the app you are trying to remove.

    Once done restart and check.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

Thank you, I resolved by rebuilding the icon cache and reclick on uninstall in the program list. It immediately deleted the icon since I had already uninstalled it.

    Thank you again

I did it and Uninstaller revo pro did uninstall the miktex programm but unfortunately the icon is still there, so I guess it is not full uninstalled or maybe there is something wrong.
