Advanced Power Options missing networking options

I have a 2020 Spectre X360 15 EB000. Version 1909, Build 18363.900. My Advanced Power Options does not have a network setting to allow me to able / disable networking while plugged in and in sleep mode. Does anyone know how to add this option, and whether or not adding may cause other issues?

For me, having this option would allow me to circumvent the Modern Standby issues where my X360 will not stay sleep while plugged in. The ability is there in 'power and sleep' to turn off networking in battery mode only.

Any Ideas?

    Hi All,

I too was fed up with this issue getting nowhere online.
I created a short script that will change req items to allow for advanced options to be displayed.

For some reason, your script seems to show half the options on my Alienware laptop.

However, I also created a script to resolve these missing options problems.

There is no need to use a cmd prompt or registry editor; just click on the batch file, then it fixes.

How to enable power management tab settings: 1. Launch your Registry Editor (Windows Search and type Regedit).2. Navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power3. Select the entry called CsEnabled4. Change the Value data from 1 to 0 and select OK 5. Reboot your machine.

NOTE: If CsEnabled is not there, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it CsEnabled, Base Hexadecimal & Value Data 0.

Right clicking on Network Adapters no longer displays the "Power Management" tab. It used to do that but the latest windows 10 update eliminated the tab.

What seems to work instead, after the latest Window 10 update, is to go to "USB Root Hub (USB 3.0" in Device Management. and then follow the recommended steps (In the Properties dialog box, click the Power Management tab. The Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box is displayed.)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are looking for Advanced Power Options for Networking Connectivity.

One the steps you can try to enable the Networking connectivity in Standby option is,

Note: Before proceeding, make sure to create a System Restore point on the computer

    • Click on Start and type CMD.
    • Open the Command Prompt (Run as Administrator).
    • Copy and paste the  following command and press Enter.
    • powercfg -attributes F15576E8-98B7-4186-B944-EAFA664402D9 -ATTRIB_HIDE
    • This should add the “Networking connectivity in Standby” in Advanced Power Options.

However, in case you want Restore Default Power Scheme, you can also

    • Click on Search on the Taskbar and type CMD. Right click on Command Prompt and select the option “Run as Administrator” and press Enter.
    • Copy and paste the command powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
    • Press Enter.

You may also want to check the Power Management option for devices:

    • Click on Start and in search type Device Manager to open it.
    • In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Network Adapters, right-click on the Network Adapter, and then click Properties.
    • In the Properties dialog box, click the Power Management tab. The Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box is displayed.
    • You can also use this option for the device to save power.

Let us know how it goes. We will certainly assist you further.

It doesn't work. Same problem with my SPX as well. Please look into this.
