PC Won't Boot (Machine Check Exception, Kernel Security Check Failure, Page Fault in Non-Paged Area, Automatic Repair Loop)

Ok, so I am absolutely dumbfounded right now, and could use literally any help. I will start from the beginning. This morning when I turned my PC on, and I tried to enter in my password, when I pressed a singular key, it would duplicate, almost as if it was sticking. For instance, if I pressed A, it would put A 15 more times. I thought this was strange, but thought nothing of it, and thought it would just fixed when I signed in. Well, trying to put in a password when having this issue was a hassle, and I ended up using too many attempts, and got to the screen where it says to enter A1B2C3. The key "sticking" issue continued, so I reset my pc. The key "sticking" issue was resolved, and I entered in A1B2C3, but then it said something along the lines of "you have used too many attempts, please reset your pc and try again". So I did, and then got the same message. I tried again a few minutes later, same message. So then I left for awhile, came back and turned my PC on, and got a different message, this time it was a BSOD "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We will restart it for you." The stop code message was "Machine Check Exception". Now, I start to get frustrated, as I have dealt with BSOD's before and they can be annoying. I troubleshooted, looked around online, and tried some things. Dusted out my PC, unplugged, replugged some things, checked components, and everything looked good. After a few more resets, the same message appeared. So, now my thought is to download installation media onto a USB and do a repair that way. So I installed the media onto my USB, plugged it in, and booted off of it. Only problem is, it just wouldn't boot off the installation media. I would get just black screens/blue screens and would have to force shutdown my PC. But somewhere in the mix, my BIOS menu started to glitch out, not really sure how to describe it. So then I was stuck. I tried a few more attempts, of trying different boot orders, random things, anything to get it to work. Now, I start getting other Stop Codes, being "Kernel Security Check Failure" and "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area". I felt like I was going backwards, as the more things I tried, the more issues were occurring. I decided to change my CMOS battery, in my case I had a 2032 in the PC, but only had two 2016's, so I put them in instead. I also downloaded Updated BIOS Drivers onto a USB and updated my BIOS Drivers. I also completed took my RAM out and put it back in. These things fixed the BIOS menu glitching issue, but now my PC is in an Automatic Repair Loop, where it shows the Automatic Repair Screen, then goes black, then a BSOD, reading the stop codes of "Machine Check Exception or "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area" and then restarting. I reinstalled Installation Media onto my USB again, but now when I boot off of it, it shows the Windows screen, then a black screen, then a blank blue screen, and then restarts. Like I said earlier, it feels like the more I try, the more problems come up. I want to be able to open Command Prompt but I have tried all of the methods to Safe Mode starting and trying to boot off the USB and I can't get even those to work, which I need in order to open Command Prompt. I don't really know what started the initial issue (I had a GPU Driver update last night, which may have caused something, but it worked fine then), or even what the issue is now, but I just need to at least get to some sort of repair menu so I can have something to work with. Being able to pinpoint an issue would also help, but I am truly lost. I have no personal files needed on this PC so that will not be an issue, I just need to be able to use it again. I will put my PC Specs below in case that helps anything.

GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Founder's Edition

CPU: Intel i7 7740x

RAM: (2x8) 16 GB DDR4 2666 Corsair Vengeance

PSU: Seasonic Prime 850 W Titanium

Motherboard: MSI X299 Raider

SSD: 1 TB Samsung 860 Evo

If any information about what I have mentioned above in terms of the issues happening, pc specs, or anything else is needed, please ask, I will do anything to help you help me, as I understand some parts of the timeline are confusing as I'm not really sure exactly when the other issues started happening.

Thank you to everybody who tries to resolve my issue :)

You would choose UEFI vs Legacy USB depending upon if you have a UEFI or Legacy install of WIndows.

Make sure you created the media exactly as I wrote, then if it still fouls out test if it works on another PC like the one you used to make it. Until then the media is suspect.

If the media is confirmed good then try resetting the UEFI BIOS to defaults in UEFI Setup. While there check the settings for UEFI (should be enabled for a UEFI install), CSM or Legacy BIOS (disabled on a UEFI install), Fast Boot and Secure Boot (disabled if necessary to do repairs) and Boot Priority order is set to Windows Boot Manager first to boot.

Trigger the media to boot using only the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Thanks for the help. I have Fast Boot turned off, and I will post videos of what happens when I boot from the USB vs. when I boot it from the UEFI version. When I boot from UEFI, I get the glitchy BIOS screen, and then it flickers, and the goes to blue, and the proceeds to restart, and boot from the ssd, which I show the error message which is "Machine Check Exception". When I boot from the USB (not UEFI version), it shows Windows loading screen, and black screen with flickering white cursor at the top right, and then flickers a blue screen, and then restarts and boots from the ssd, but this time showing the stop code "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area". Hopefully maybe the videos and this description can help a little bit more.

I'm sure the installation media is fine, as I've already installed it, tried it, uninstalled, reinstalled again, and tried again. But if you think this could be an issue I am ok with doing it again.

I will send videos later, as they are taking a long time to send to my email.

Hi Amol. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP specializing in installation, performance, troubleshooting and activation, here to help you.

It sounds like the BIOS is skipping the media and trying to start Windows.

Go to another PC to create bootable media to try repairs, do a Reset or do the gold standard Clean install. The bootable media is the only repair method that doesn't require a password, has it's own drivers, repair and installation files which often work when Windows or the other Repair Mode doesn't. Use only the Media Creation tool and DO NOT format the flash stick first, in fact delete it in Disk Mgmt and let the tool format it and do everything for you.

To create Windows 10 Installation Media on another PC install Media Creation Tool follow the directions in the middle of the download page here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m.... Uncheck the box for Recommended Settings to choose the exact version and bit rate for the target PC only.

Insert media, boot it by powering up PC while pressing the BIOS Boot Menu Key given here: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutor...

If the media won't boot you may need to enter BIOS/UEFI Setup (pressing key given in chart in link above) to turn off Fast Boot or Fast Startup first.

Choose the boot device as a UEFI device if offered, on second screen choose Repair Your Computer, then Advanced Troubleshoot Options, then:

    1. Try a System Restore,
    2. If that fails try Uninstall Updates,
    3. Open the Command Prompt to:

    a) run System File Checker: https://www.wintips.org/how-to-run-sfc-offline-...

    b) a full Disk Check: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/check-hard-dri...

    c) trigger Safe Mode with Networking (for internet) or Safe Mode following https://www.intowindows.com/boot-windows-10-in-... to roll back Updates & Drivers in Windows Update History, update your drivers from the PC/Motherboard manufacturer's website and diagnose further:

    https://www.pcmag.com/news/354269/how-to-use-sa...

    d) Enable the built-in hidden Admin to sign in to create a new Admin account to replace yours:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2969-enable... (Option Five)

    http://www.howtogeek.com/226540/how-to-create-a...

    1. If those fail then go back to Troubleshoot Options to do a Reset.
    2. If that fails choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install - this makes it foolproof.

Everything needed to get the best possible Clean Install is here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki.... It is a better install than any amount of money can buy and a great learning experience that will make you the master of your PC because you will learn what works best and how to apply it with your own hands.

    1. If you have files that aren't backed up you can use the same bootable media to try to rescue your files using these methods: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I solved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Okay, so after a few more tries, I have figure out that when I boot off of the Installation Media, if it doesn't show a blank blue screen, the stop code will say "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area" and when I boot off of hard drive, it says "Machine Check Exception"
