How to assign a shortcut key to start a vbs script

Dear Community,

I used to have a shortcut key assigned to some vbs script that I would trigger from time to time. The way to set it up was an option provided in a popup which is available by right-click on the script in the file explorer.

Currently this option is not shown anymore. The feature still exists and works, but I have no option to do the same on a new machine now.

--> Where has this feature gone?

thanks for an answer.

    Hi Ingo_Wupper

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The only way to assign a keyboard shortcut to start that file is:

Create a Desktop shortcut to that VB Script File

Right click the Desktop shortcut and choose Properties, and on the resulting dialog, you will have that option in the Shortcut Key box.
