What is "Acresso Software Manager"?

My HP laptop has been acting strange lately; It takes a while to start programs. I've checked the task manager and notice this "Acresso Software Manager" running. Is this a virus?
I will appreciate your feedback,

    This is tool for some program' updates managing. Likely it was installed with some other software e.g. PDF reader.

    Acresso SM installs along with the Nuance PDF reader software. It's required for automatic updates of the PDF app.

    Yes, it is safe, but I cannot say for sure it is needed really.

    Please look for this name in Settings, Apps list.

    Do you have PDF reader software? May be it installed this tool.
