Do my HP 245 G5 notebook - AMD A6-7310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics 2.00 GHz has a TPM?  I am not sure about it. It does not have TPM option in the BIOS but when I look in device manager under security devices I see, "PSP 1.0". Actually the basis of my confusion is that the HP notebook specification page shows it has 'fw TPM 2.0  under the software and security menu (HP 245 G5 Notebook PC Specifications | HP® Customer Support) but I don't find any option to enable it. I have asked the same question in the hp community, but no-one has replied till now.

    Good Day HarshitChaudharyGurjar,

I appreciate the screenshot, this is odd becuase it states in your manufacturers website that your device has TPM, you can try to reach out to HP and have them check if there's an ongoing bug in thier end.

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-245-g5-...

In this thread, it appears that there's an issue with the TPM , this includes your device model, reach out to them and check if this is already resolved.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

This clearly tells your device doesn't have TPM installed on the motherboard.

The support website that you mentioned:

Not necessary every device of that model has TPM. There are some exceptions and probably, your PC was an exception.

Also, your CPU isn't supported for Windows 11.

Your C: drive space is less and there's more that the app wants to tell.

So unfortunately, you cannot install Windows 11 as your device isn't compatible with Windows 11.

    Regards,

    Thanks Ishaan,

I have already done this. It says Compatible Trusted Platform Module (TPM) cannot be found on this computer. Verify that this computer has a 1.2 TPM or later and it is turned on in BIOS.

Also, this notebook PC is not that modern. Actually I don't expect it to have TPM, but the official website says it has.

And I could not find how to enable it, if it has.

    Good Day HarshitChaudharyGurjar,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Are you checking if your device compatible with Windows 11?

You can use this tool to check., download and install it, it will show you if your device has TPM.

    https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases...

I also checked your manufacuturers website and it appears that your device has TPM 2.0 . You can check it under Software and Security

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-245-g5-...

I hope the information above helps.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Hi Harshit

Most of the modern CPUs have TPM.

    Press Windows + R and type tpm.msc.

    Press enter.

Does it say The TPM is ready for use?

If you are preparing for Windows 11, download and run this tool to check your compatibility:
