How to revert to a previous version of windows 10

So Windows strongarmed me into updating to their latest version of Windows against my will, and has since, messed up my art program. I use Paint Tool Sai, and since updating, the program will act like it's opening, but as soon as the loading banner goes away, it doesn't actually open, or show up in either Task Manager or my taskbar. Despite that, it still acts like its open, so that when I try to open it afterwards, it won't even give me the loading banner. The only way to close the "running" program is to completely restart my computer.

It only started doing this after I updated, and I would like to revert to the previous version so that I can, y'know, use my art program.

(Alternatively, if anyone else has had this same problem and knows how to fix it, that would be great too.)

    Hi Sleepy

Open Settings and go to Windows Update > Advanced Options View Optional Updates > Uninstall updates.

Select the latest cumulative update and uninstall it.

Also, this seems like the app issue. Have you tried reinstalling the app? Also, does this happen for all the apps?

I have updated too but I ain't facing any problem.

    Regards,

If you meant to go back to previous feature update (2004, 1909, etc)you can do the below steps. Otherwise, follow the steps in the other 2 replies.

Go to this site and download the latest version of Rufus: https://rufus.ie

Run it, and under the window, you'll see a settings button. Click on it and set the Check for updates to Daily (default) (it might be chosen by default), then click Check now. When that's done, close the update window, and near the SELECT button in the main menu, there's a down-pointing arrow. Click on it and choose DOWNLOAD and click on the DOWNLOAD button again. Choose the options as per your preferences and device, then proceed to make a bootable disk (MAKE SURE A USB DRIVE OF MORE THAN 8GB IS PLUGGED IN BEFORE MAKING A BOOTABLE DISK. THIS WILL REMOVE ALL THE FILES IN THE DISK, TOO.).

Then, after making a bootable disk, boot your device from the USB (tutorials are available online), then follow the rest of the steps.

It's also worth mentioning that my particular brand of drawing tablet by Huion doesn't play super nice with Sai1, but I've always managed to make it work up until now, since there was a major update a few days ago. My cracked version worked perfectly with a few workarounds from my tablet brand not being the most compatible with Sai.

Paint and Paint3D aren't good art programs for what I do, frankly. I only use them under specific circumstances, and I can't use them for my typical style of artwork. I've tried many art programs, and Paint Tool Sai is my tried and true favorite program, and I'm unwilling to part with it.

Since removing the update, the problem still persists. It's likely a problem with my brand of tablet. Thanks for the help, I needed to figure out which thing was causing the issue, since both updated at the same time.

That may be the problem. Cracked versions do not work properly.

Can you do your work using genuine versions of Paint or Paint 3D?

Sorry, that was a typo. That option is in View update history 😅

    Good Day Sleepydot,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps on how you can go back to the previous version of Windows.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Recovery

-Under Go back to Previous version of Windows 10 click Get Started.

If you can't go back , you can perform System Restore.

    1. Press Windows key + R and type rstrui.exe and hit Enter.
    2. Once system restore windows open, normally it will suggest a restore point
    3. Select your desired restore point date and time and hit next and finish. Choose a restore point date where your device is working perfectly fine.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
