Windows 10 Boot Repair

When I try to turn my computer on, I get a screen saying "Windows failed to start" and that I should restart and insert and install disc. So I bought a new install of windows 10 Pro, plugged it into my computer, and set it as the first and second boot option (one option was the UEFI option). But I don't get an option to repair, just to setup windows in either 64 or 32 bit, but when I try to choose one of those it says it is loading files, flashes the windows logo then restarts.

    Which installation did you brought?

To repair a current Windows installation, you need a bootable USB.

    If you have another PC:

    1. Download the following tool:

    Download tool now (microsoft.com)

    1. Insert a blank USB with at least 4 to 8 GB of space in it.
    2. Run the tool and choose Create an installation medium for another PC.
    3. Select the correct USB.
    4. Let the process finish. Make sure you don't turn off the PC or remove the USB.

    When done:

    1. Insert the USB into the affected PC.
    2. Turn on the PC.
    3. Immediately, hold down the boto key of your PC. It's mostly F12, F10, Delete or some special key. You can search for it on the internet.
    4. Select the USB drive and press Enter to boot from it.

In the Windows 10 installation environment:

    1. Click on Next.
    2. Click on Repair this computer and wait for some time.
    3. Click on Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup repair.
    4. Let the repair finish. Do not interrupt it.

    If the startup repair failed:

    1. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore (this will work only if you have a system restore point)
    2. Select the latest point and restore from it.

    Regards,

It could be a failed hard drive. So when you boot from USB you don't select Language > Install now, it just starts the install automatically.

Usually after selecting Language there is the options to Install now (set in the middle of the screen) and Repair in the bottom left hand area.

When I select the USB drive to boot from, the windows logo flashes then the screen goes black with a flashing white underscore in the top left corner. This lasts for about 30 seconds the the screen goes completely black and seems to restart.

Try to go into automatic repair and see if you can do anything there. If that doesn't work try to boot it up in safe mode and see if booting it up in safe mode works.
