AirPods and Discord Issues

Hello,

I have connected my AirPods with my Win10 PC. When I use it only for music, everything works great. However, when I try to use it for meetings (MS Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom) or for playing games with my friends (Discord), I cannot have both functionality (talk and listen).

I cannot hear anyone if I have my Input set as 'AirPod Pro Hands-free', but they can hear me.

If I change this to some default 'Microphone', then I can hear everyone, but they cannot hear me.

Is this the limitation from AirPods ? I **** kind of surprised, as there are a lot of other wireless Headsets that have no issue performing this.

I really hope this is some issue with my Win10 that can be fixed.

I have:

  1. Updates Win10 OS
  2. Updated Bluetooth Drivers
  3. Re-paired AirPods several times

All of those have lead to no success. Is there anyone who does not have problems with those tools? I want to use both functionality (talk and listen ) with my airpods.

Thanks.

Hi, I'm Ru and I'll be glad to help you today.

I have done some research on this and found out a solution that will work for you.

    1. Go to sound settings > Sound control panel
    2. Set your Headphones as the default audio. Make sure you select headphones and not the headset. (I think the issue is because the pc is detecting the AirPods as two separate device types)
    3. Then Set your PC microphone by usb as the Mic
