Hi,
I did a RMA of the ssd.
I installed it in my pc, did a clean install, and noticed the same freezes.
Idk what is happening, but it's not my ssd

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
So i've had a problem where my ssd reaches 100% activity, but 0 reads/writes.
I dismissed it for a while, because i thought that my ssd was dying. I bought a new ssd in july, and i noticed that the issues were percisting. Windows was freshly installed, so there couldn't be anything messed up with that part.
The things i've tried:
I've tried to find errors in event viewer, but i only found one error that was remotely in the time the freeze happened.
There were 6 different errors from ~5 min after the freeze, but idk if they are related. Error1, Error2, Error3, Error4, Error5, Error6
I've uploaded a .nfo system information file Here, so that you can see info about my system for diagnosing.
Quick info about my system:
| Cpu | Amd Fx 8320 |
|---|---|
| Mobo | GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 1.2) |
| Ram | 32 gb 1333mhz corsair ram |
| Gpu | Asus dual gtx 1070 |
| System drive | Samsung 870 QVO 4tb (bought in July) |
So while writing this my system froze again, and i got new warnings in event viewer. 1st warning, 2nd warning
Here are some screenshots of the problem:
Here is a picture of samsung magician
I've exported a .csv of the M.A.R.T. info Here
Before i wrap up this post, i'd like to tell that this happens very irregularly. Sometimes it can happen once every month, and sometimes it can be like 50 times pr day.
TLDR;
system freezes irregularly, followed by some warnings in event viewer. problem started to happen ~1 year ago, and it randomly appears.

Hi Kris. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activaiton, here to help you.
If the same thing happens with another SSD and a Clean Install then that tends to clear the SSD as causing this, especially if you're doing diagnostics with the Samsung SSD tools.

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.
HARDWARE TESTS -
If problems are found then test the RAM overnight to stress it with the best bootable test memtest86, following this guide to test both sticks and slots:

HP and Dell have hardware diagnostics triggered by tapping the ESC or F12 keys respectively as you power on.
Best is to use the HDD/SSD manufacturer's own if there is one, otherwise use Seatools bootable long test: http://blog.nowherelan.com/2013/04/04/boot-seat...
Follow this up with a full Disk Check from the Command Prompt in Repair Mode or from bootable media: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/check-hard-dri... if necessary from the Command Prompt at boot: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanc...

If no hardware problems are found then look over this tutorial for a gold standard Clean Install which compiles the best possible Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...
The reason I suggest this is that no one who has adopted the install in the above link has ever come back to report further problems I've seen, including another version failure. This is because everything in Windows 10 is dependent upon the quality of the install, especially Version Updates which will choke on lesser quality installs, and there is no possibility of problems if you stick ONLY with the steps, tools and methods in that tutorial.
It is also one of life's great learning experiences that will permanently make you the master of your PC because you will learn everything that works best and how to keep it that way.
OK, keep me posted. I'd also go back and do a checklist to make sure every step including in the tutorial links got tried, so you can tell Samsung with confidence that everything possible for Windows has been tried.
I do remember I had a 100% disk usage case awhile back that was only solved by doing a gold standard Clean Install, so you can consider that if you've not already done one to be as thorough as can be For the gold standard, look over this tutorial compiles the best possible Install of Windows which will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given, has zero reported problems, and is better than any amount of money could buy: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki... Note that the driver steps are so important they are printed in red.

That, of course, is purely optional and up to you. You may feel that your install was just as good
Finally, have you tried the Chipset with AHCI controller from both the PC maker's downloads and the motherboard's downloads to compare?
Hi,
I'd like to inform you that i did all the tests you linked, but nothing worked. The issue still persists
Thank you so much for this info. I will update this thread if the problem persists.
