Control Panel / Internet Options / Delete...: Which browser(s)' History/Cookies, etc. gets cleared?

A friend who uses an older HP laptop that's running Windows 10 use Google Chrome as her browser. She recently told me that after each online session, she goes to Control Panel / Internet Options and Deletes her browsing history and cookies. I told her that I think doing that clears history and cookies only for Internet Explorer and/or Microsoft Edge, but not for Chrome. Can someone here kindly confirm whether I'm correct or she is? Thanks in advance.

    Hello, how are you?

    My name is Paloma B., I am very happy to be able to try to help you in the best possible way.

    I understand that you have questions about chrome navigation data.

    Yes, you are correct, this path she uses refers to the browsing data of MS, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers.

    To delete Chrome browsing data, you must delete directly in the browser settings, where the manufacturer recommends accessing.

    1. Open Chrome;
    2. In the upper right corner, click Plus or three dots icon;
    3. Click More Tools and Clear Navigation Data;
    4. At the top of the screen, choose a time range. To delete everything, select Entire period;
    5. Check the boxes next to "Cookies and other website data" and "Images and files cached";
    6. Click Clear Data.

    This will clear Google Chrome browser's browsing data.

    I await news.
