Windows 10 Pro does not have Gaming mode in settings + achievements not showing

Recently built a new gaming PC and installed W10 pro on it. Xbox Game Bar initially only worked by typing it up in the W10 search bar and clicking on it, but now that doesn't work either along with Win + G. I've looked around and others have suggested downloading the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 N, but I think the Pro version is supposed to come installed with it already, so I'm not sure. I have W10 Pro on my laptop as well and that has the Gaming mode with the same version of Windows 10 Pro.

Below is a picture of my Windows 10 Pro version if this helps:

Additionally, when I launch a game with the Xbox app and I get an achievement, the noise that I've gotten it pops off, but I don't see a notification on my screen for it, so I don't know what achievements I'm getting. Can anyone shed some light on these two things?

    Hello A, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that game mode is not available on your system;

    Initially, I recommend that you follow the instructions below:

    Check for new updates on Windows Update:

    1: Open the Windows 10 "Start" menu and select the "Settings" item.

    2: then select the "Update and Security" option.

    3: In the "Windows Update" section, click "Check for updates".

    4: If there are no updates, the message "You are up to date" will be displayed.

    5: if there is any pending system update, the message "Features update for Windows 10 ..." will be displayed, then click on the "Download and install" item to start the system update.

    6: wait for the update download to finish and restart the PC, or schedule a restart to be able to finish the procedure.

    Update apps from the Microsoft Store;

    Open the store and click (...) in the upper right corner to access Downloads and updates;

    Click Get Updates and wait for all apps to update;

    Check if the game mode feature is now displayed in the settings;

    Press Windows key + I and go to Games;

    If game mode is available just activate it;

    Also click Xbox Game bar and enable the feature;

    If the game mode feature is still not available, follow the instructions provided by the video below:

    Hi Luiz,

    Resetting both Xbox app and Xbox Game Bar app did nothing.

    With the Windows 10 Media Feature Pack, which version should I choose?

    Many thanks,

    A Fluffy Lemon

    Dear A,to access the game bar try the following:

    Click on the start menu and access Settings by clicking on the "Gear" icon;

    Click Games;

    Click on Xbox Game Bar and enable the option, now Win + G should work to open the games bar;

    Try resetting Xbox App;

    Press Windows key + I and access Applications;

    Select the Xbox app from the list and click Advanced Options;

    Scroll down and click Reset;

    I recommend that you try to install Windows 10 Media Feature Pack and check the behavior;

    If none of this resolves, the solution is to format and reinstall Windows from scratch;

    I hope I helped, see you soon!

    Hi Luiz,

    Unfortunately it is telling me that my system is all up to date, and that there are no updates.

    Clicking Get Updates in the Microsoft Store doesn't yield any results for updates, and also says that my system is up to date.

    When pressing Win + I*,* I cannot access Game Mode because it's not in the settings menu.

    With the video, I:

    1. Cannot verify if Game Mode is on because there's no option in the menu for it.
    2. I opened regedit, typed Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\GameBar, and saw that AllowAutoGameMode was not in the right side, so I added it as 'DWORD (32bit value)' with Value Data as 1, as the video described. I rebooted my PC, but nothing has changed; Win + G does not work and I cannot access Game Mode.
    3. I downloaded O&O AppBuster as the video suggested and looked through the installed apps. They are below:

    As you can see, Xbox Game Bar appears to be installed, but Game Bar itself is not. I think they are the same program though as the video is a couple years old. Here is the picture from the video:

    1. The last thing that I have not tried yet is installing the Windows 10 Media Feature Pack. It is my understanding that this is only supposed to be installed on Windows 10 N or KN versions. Since my version is the Pro version, should I install this? Strangely enough, however, when I type up Skype, Groove music, and other media-related apps they are absent, much like the N and KN versions though. I read that for Windows versions 1903 or more recent, it should be installed via Settings instead of from online, but when I go into Settings > Apps > Optional Features > Add a feature, when I type up Media Feature Pack, it is not there.

    Please advise on what to do, as I have no idea what's going on and none of the solutions are working.

    Many thanks,

    A Fluffy Lemon
