Good day abhyakapoor! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are looking into an issue with regards to Windows Hello/Fingerprint. Kindly check and try the steps below and see how it goes.
- Press Windows key + R and from the run box type in services.msc and press Enter or hit OK
- Look for Windows Biometric Service and then double click on it and click on Stop
- Go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase and take a backup of all the files inside the WinBioDatabase folder
- After doing a backup of the files then it is time to delete all the files from that same folder and now go back to the Services window click on Restart to trigger again the Windows Biometric Service
- Now go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and try to register the fingerprint again
Regards,
Paul R.
