Cannot remove an already closed schoolaccount from my Office Family account.

Hi,

I used Office 365 via Microsoft 365 Family and under Product Information in Word (etc) it stated: Subscription Product Home Office (I believe). Since I joined during about one-and-a-half year a school as teacher, it shows:

Subscription Product

Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise

Belongs to my school email account

Subscription Product

Microsoft 365

Belongs to my private email account

Subscription Product

Microsoft 365

Belongs to my wife's private email account

However, when I left, the schollaccount was closed, but it is still there in above Sbscription details, seemingly as primary, as the 2nde and 3d I've to show via Show additional Licensing information.

How do I remove the non existent (closed) school account and reinstall my private account as primary again?

    Dear Claudier,

    At Windows+Q>Office>App Settings I get the choice Terminate, Repair, Reset, Uninstall. I've choses Repair and Reset and Restarted in both cases my PC => N result
    The I tried Control Panel>Programs and Features>Microsoft 365-nl-nl (the nearest toOffce I could find) and using Change>Online Repair I gave it another try -Restart - no result, situation still same I'm afraid.
    Any more suggestions?

    I've searched for bola0001@school.account in the registry and it appears many times, I've tried to show them all here below.
    It seems to me, that nr.11 maybe key is?
    Can I do something in the registry?

    Messing with the registry is always risky.

    Do this test on a new user, because from what you said, it might be a corrupted user issue:

    -New user account.

    Your user profile is a set of settings that make your computer look and work the way you want it to. It contains your desktop background settings, screen savers, pointer preferences, sound settings, and other features. Due to this variety of personal settings and changes caused by other programs can cause corruption of your user profile and malfunction in system usage hence the need for a new profile.

    On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In Run type control userpasswords2 and click OK; (There is a space after the control)

    On the Add tab, and Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).

    Click to create a Local Account.

    Enter a username and password, add a password hint and click Next and then Finish.

    In the Users tab select the name of the new user click Properties;

    On the Group Membership tab check the Administrator option, click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer and login to the new user account and see the behavior.

    If it solves the problem, you can transfer the data to the new user:

    In the admin user you created, press the Windows+R keys, type: %systemdrive%\users (in English and without spaces)

    and click Ok. Check your previous user's folder and click the left mouse button, it may take a while to process the data, in a few minutes access to your files will be released, select the folders you want to move, to copy them press (CTRL+C), to cut them press (CTRL+X) and to paste press (CTRL+V) in your new user.

    After migrating your data, delete your previous user: Press the Windows+R keys, type netplwiz and click OK. Select your previous user and click Remove.

    Understand. Thank you for the informations.

    Let's try this:

    Windows+Q> search for Office> right click> application settings> Restore. Restart your PC and see if the accounts disappear, you can only add your personal account.

    Hi Claudeir,

    Thanks for your reply, but that does not work, as apart from in the Offcea apps (Word,Excel etc) I cannot find the school account anywhere:

    If I show additional licensing information I get

    So including my own account and that of my wife.

    Now Start>setting>Accounts>Email&accounts shows:

    the same two privat accounts plus info@my account

    but when I show Start>setting>Accounts>Access work or school ther is nothing

    So no way to remove any schoolaccount (bola0001@schoolaccount)

    It seems weird, but that's how it looks.

    So how do I remove the subscription of bola0001@schholaccount from the Office suite?
