Hi there, i was wondering if you had tried the fix and if it worked. I am having the exact same problem with the same computer
DAX3API.exe stopped working
Hello. I recently did a fresh re-install of Win 10, because I kept having trouble with installing Dolby drivers on the old install. The drivers on the old install kept disappearing by themselves and when I tried to install the officially recommended drivers for my PC (Latest drivers recommended by Lenovo specifically for my device), they never installed even after saying they did. So I just decided to completely re-install Windows which I have been wanting to do for some time.
When the fresh install of Windows booted up, I went straight into Edge and started downloading all the software I needed. I wanted to listen to a bit of music while I was installing, so I turned to my YouTube playlist.
The moment I pressed play, my PC just froze and I could only hear a lagged sound of the music I was trying to listen to. I couldn't do anything. I tried waiting for a BSOD, but it never came. I had to manually power off my PC and I started it back up again. When the PC booted up again, I tried playing the same exact video but nothing happened. I was listening like normal. After an hour or so, the PC froze again and I had to manually power it off once again.
I booted the PC up for the 3rd time, and went to check the ''Reliability monitor'' right away. I found out that DAX3API.exe was the thing that caused the freeze.
I also checked the minidump folder but it was empty. A BSOD did not happen.
At this point, I am thinking about returning this PC since it's practically new. Now that I have looked into it, I realized that this same freeze happened to me on the old install once or twice as well.
Is there a known solution to this?
These screenshots show a separate freeze that happened after the two previously mentioned freezes, but it's the exact same thing.

In your initial post, you indicated you installed the latest drivers recommended by Lenovo specifically for my device
Now you indicate you have the Alienware Command Center installed, is your PC a Lenovo or an Alienware?

2021-08-12T15:54:46+00:00 Hello Dave,
the PC still keeps freezing at random times. Today morning, it seemed to freeze because of Alienware command center, so I uninstalled it and went on with my day.
I thought about messaging you that everything was okay, but then the PC suddenly froze up again 14 minutes ago. This time however, there is no indication as to what has caused the freeze. The reliability monitor just says this after I forcefully shut it down:
No technical details given.
Yet again, the minidump folder is empty and a BSOD didn't occur.
What do I do at this point? Why is a fresh install of Windows crashing like this? Is this a hardware related problem?

2021-08-11T17:04:10+00:00 Hello Dave,
I did not uninstall Dolby Atmos yet. It did not really even cross my mind since I deleted it on the old installation while I was trying to install the Realtek drivers too, but if I remember correctly, the problem still stood.
I will uninstall Dolby and test the PC out. The problem is that the freezes just sort of.... happen at random. It might take 10 minutes, but it also might take 7 hours off runtime until the freeze occurs.
Thank you!

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
DAX3API.exe is part of the Dolby Atmos installation on your PC, did you re-install that after you re-installed Windows 10?
Uninstall Dolby form your PC and then test if your PC is stable.
