Office 2021 LTSC and SPLA

Hi,

Office 2021 LTSC = Office 2021 SPLA?

I am the supported product IDs at:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/troubleshoot/installation/product-ids-supported-office-deployment-click-to-run
But can't find LTSC instead there is SPLA, can someone confirm why LTSC is not mentioned in the supported IDs?

As of 10/22/2021 it is NOT possible to install "Office 2021 Pro Plus SPLA" with the click-to-run. You will get an error, or there will be no apps installed, or will not download.
You can install "Office 2021 Pro Plus Volume License" (no SPLA), but your SPLA key will not work. It cannot activate.
You have to wait for Microsoft to fix this.

The solution is to create a copy of your Office XML configuration file. Edit that copy and update the following sections as shown. Then run SETUP /configure <YourUpdated XML File>. This will successfully install the SPLA version of Office LTSC 2021.

Hi,
I have the same issue and have a case open with Microsoft.
They Responded to me:

There are problems with the SPLA license. Microsoft product group is already working on a solution. For the time being we have to temporary close the case and I will get to you as soon as a solution is available.

Yes, I received an email yesterday: No news from the dev team.

So, It confirms that the SPLA partners are clearly not a priority.

No. Please note that "ProPlusSPLA2021Volume" and "StandardSPLA2021Volume" only apply to service providers and independent software vendors (ISVs) with a Microsoft Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA).

Ok, thanks for clarification.

I am able to download and install the ProPlus2021Volume with following settings in XML file:
Product ID = ProPlus2021Volume
Channel = PrepetualVL2021

For SPLA, I am using Product ID = ProPlusSPLA2021Volume
But what should be the channel? PrepetualVL2021 give me error code: 30088-45

Hello

Office Standard and Pro Plus 2021 LTSC SPLA gives errors when installing. Only Office 2021 LTSC non-SPLA versions can install correctly, but when attempting to install StandardSPLA2021Volume or ProPlusSPLA2021Volume, it throws installation errors...

Microsoft Office Product Group should confirm if Office Standard and Office ProPlus 2021 LTSC SPLA is currently available in both the ODT TOOL and in the CDN servers

yes : "PerpetualVL2021" , because that is the Channel originated in the .xml file when creating the .xml file at : config.office.com

There are not indications that it should be different from that...

We experience exact the same. Unable to install Product ID="ProPlusSPLA2021Volume" only Product ID="ProPlus2021Volume" succeeds to install.

I get the same issue as @~OSD~

I am able to use the /download switch to download the files for ProPlusSPLA2021Volume using ODT. However, using the /configure switch with the same .xml file results in the error code "30088-45" and will not install.

This only seems to apply to affect ProPlusSPLA2021Volume, there is no issues with ProPlus2021Volume.

Something is not right with deploying ProPlusSPLA2021Volume from ODT.

I used config.office.com to build out the .xml files as normal.

Same issue with the "Office LTSC Standard 2021 (SPLA) - Volume License"

"download" switch work, "configure" switch get the "30088-45" error code.

Same issue here. Tried installing it yesterday with "ProPlusSPLA2021Volume" and "StandardSPLA2021Volume" and both failed. The other codes work. My company is entitled to use SPLA licenses. Over to you @Microsoft.

perhaps you are not aware of the fact that if you go to config.office.com -> CREATE A NEW CONFIGURATION and choose the Office Suite Products, you have the Office 2021 LTSC SPLA in both Standard and Pro Plus versions...

Therefore, if Microsoft allows the customers to create the .xml file with Office 2021 LTCS SPLA versions, then is a problem if the ODT TOOL does not allow it to be installed...

Hi, I'm not sure I follow.

I did create a config at config.office.com. I do have a license for Office 2021 LTSC SPLA Pro Plus. And it indeed is the installer that gives me a 30088-45 error when attempting to install using that generated config or a minimal one I wrote myself.

What fact am I not aware of? Do you know of a workaround for the installer issue?
