Hello,

I have an issue with my company's Office 365 Online. If a user logs in to office.com in order use the online version of e.g. Word it always displays an error:
"Word is not available for you Please contact your Office 365 admin for assistance."
Now if the same user opens say SharePoint Online creates a word document there and opens it in Word Online everything works fine.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Also had this same issue today and discovered it was turned off in Sharepoint Admin Centre

    https://XXX-admin.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/online/TenantSettings.aspx

Where XXX is your tenant name - guess this would need Global Admin

    Show or Hide App Tiles
Show or hide app tiles in the app launcher and on the Microsoft 365 portal.

OneDrive and Office Online Show Hide
    SharePoint Show Hide

MS Documentation says hiding it doesn't stop access however it did!
