Ethernet connection to laptop w/o ethernet jack
Hi,
A few months ago I bought a new Dell Inspiron 5502 laptop with an 11th gen, i7 processor but it does not have an Ethernet jack. My internet speed on my last Dell laptop (wired with an Ethernet cable) was always @ 100mbps speed but it went down when I use my new Dell laptop wirelessly w/o an Ethernet cable.
I have 100mbps speed Fios but all I get now is @68-72mbps on wireless. I called Verizon and they did a speed test and said it was because of my wireless setup. If I used an Ethernet cable directly to my modem the speed would go back to @100mbps. Is there a cable I can buy that connects my Ethernet modem to a USB or HDMI jack to get my speed back? Thanks.

What you can buy is a USB Ethernet adapter, you can connect the USB to your laptop and connect the ethernet cord to the other end of the adapter.
