Hi

In my laptop, Windows 11 is NOT compatible with Intel Core-i5-3230M processor , I am using windonw 10 home on Lenovo Ideapad high configuration. In windows 11 healthcheck, only my processor is failing (i,e Intel Core i5-3230M @2.60 GHZ processor),

My laptop config: 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD., dedicated Nvidia Graphics card and etc

But I am UNABLE to upgrade to windows 11.

Please share the workaround for this? .

I can not change my processor due to windows 11 OS.....

If no workaround, i will chnage my OS and break this useless computer running on windows 10 (i.e no trust with Microsoft for backward compatibility) ....

will Microsoft address this ?

I will purchase iOS computer or any other OS. because Microsoft not support this

    Hello Syedabdhahir,

Good day! I'm John and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

I'm sorry, i5-3230M is not on the list of Windows 11 supported Intel processors.

With the release of Windows 11, the minimum requirements to upgrade are final. I recommend reaching out to your Original Equipment Manufacturer as they will be able to provide you with information regarding any options you may have for upgrading your device's current processor or you may consider purchasing a new device.

I recommend using Windows 10 as it continues to be a great version of Windows. Microsoft is committed to supporting Windows 10 through October 14, 2025.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Kind regards,

    John DeV

There's no workaround. However MS has officially said that users can clean-install Windows 11 on unsupported processor, but you need to meet all other req. And users who have unsupported processor won't be getting any updates, too.

<< users who have unsupported processor won't be getting any updates, too. >>That's strange by the way.. then there is no meaning of upgrading to Windows 11..... i will endup with BUGS as usual if no updates right ?

I think so, a user replied in another thread saying that it's faster than Win10, so I hope it'll be alright. I'm not risking anything, so I'm gonna stay with Windows 10 and update to 21H2 when it releases, and will probably update to 11 later.
