Windows 11 installation Assistant not completing the installation

My computer passes the Windows PC Health check and received a green light to install Windows 11.

MB Asus prime B450 Plus

CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700x

GPU GeForce GTX 1070

RAM 4X8GB Corsair Vengeance

The Installation assistant downloads the installation file, it then verifies it.

Then it installs the program and carries out a download of updates. All the while telling me that the computer will reboot 30 minutes after the downloads reach 100%.

However, the installation is terminated with the following error message: "we can´t tell if your pc is ready to continue installing windows 11. try restarting setup"

I have tried a few times with no luck. my antivirus is Malware-bytes which I disabled but still no joy.

I cant find any information about this error can anyone shed any light?

Refer to "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/Debug/system-error-codes" for error information.

Looking at the error code, it didn't seem to help at my level of knowledge but hinted at a system file corruption. As I had already run SFC I ran DISM (DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth). But, the windows installer still throws up the same error message.

Hi Again and thank you for your continued support.

I shall just carry on using Windows 10 and try again perhaps in the new year, by then, maybe more people will have had the same issue and a solution found.

You're welcome. I'm sorry it didn't work but don't give up just yet.

Follow Saltgrass good advise, maybe we can figure out what's stopping the upgrade.

You might check the Sources folder on the .iso or go to the site below and download and run the setupdiag.exe utility. It may furnish some additional info. Please check it for any personal info and then copy and paste.

Hi Again and thank you for your continued support.

BIOS updated to latest 3211 (08/11/2021)

Ran System File Check & found some corrupted files and fixed

    Disabled Virus utility (Malwarebytes)

    Disabled all non-Microsoft Services

    Deleted C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Switched off Printer (the only external peripheral other than KB & Mouse)

Tried installing Windows 11 again from ISO and unfortunately got the same error message. I am not going to "die in a ditch" over this. I shall just carry on using Windows 10 and try again perhaps in the new year, by then, maybe more people will have had the same issue and a solution found.

    Thankyou for your response.

    Windows 10 pro

    version 21H1

    OS build 19043.1266

    Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

    You're welcome.

I would just download the Windows 11 ISO, mount it in File Explorer and execute 'setup.exe'.

Disconnect unnecessary external devices and say NO to download updates on the first screen.

    Good luck!
