Microsoft store saying not enough storage to download app when there is more than enough storage

I am trying to download a game onto a flash drive from the Microsoft store, specifically Shadow of War. It originally downloaded to about 25 GB, and every time I try to continue the installation, it downloads about 0.5 GB, stops, and tells me I don't have enough available space to download the application. The game is a little less than 100 GB and I can confidently say I've got at the very least 300 GB of free space left on the flash drive so I am not sure what the issue is.

    Understand.

    Well, hopefully that solves it, because if the Microsoft Store can install other games on your external hard drive, there's nothing wrong with the system or the store. If the problem happens with only one game, there may be some incompatibility with the game in question or a temporary problem with the servers, if necessary, contact the game support directly, we have made all possible solutions in relation to the store.

    -Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

    Windows+i> System> Storage> change where new content is saved> Change where new applications are saved by selecting the desired drive.

    If it doesn't solve the problem and it's a problem with the store:

    -Solve problems with Microsoft Store, test if resolved after each solution:

    1-Windows+i> Update and security> Troubleshooting> Additional troubleshooting> Windows Store Apps> Run Solution.

    2-Reset the Microsoft Store cache

    Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

    Note:

    A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

    3-Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

    Press the Windows Key + R and type in services.msc.

    Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart

    If Disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

    4-Reinstall the Microsoft Store app

    Press Windows key + X

    Click and Run Windows PowerShell(Admin)

    Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:

    Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Restart your computer.

    -Feel free to leave your opinion, marking as answered if the answer helped, or leaving more details so that we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

    Graciously,

    Unfortunately none of these have worked either. I am trying to install the game directly onto the external drive which is plugged into my computer. I currently have another game on the drive which runs flawlessly and I am able to download other applications from the Microsoft store. It appears the issue is solely with Shadow of War, but I purchased the game from the Microsoft store, installed it, and played it without issue on my previous laptop.

    Are you trying to install the game directly to an external drive?

    Does the disk work normally for other things or on another PC?

    Check system files:

    -Right click on start, run PowerShell(admin) or Command Prompt(admin)

    Copy and paste the following command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    and press Enter.(Note: This step may take a few minutes to start and up to 30 minutes to complete).

    After you see a message saying "The operation completed successfully", copy and paste this command:

    sfc /scannow

    and press Enter.

    Wait for a message that says "Verification 100% complete".

    So add this command:

    chkdsk /f /r /b

    Confirm with "Y" and restart the computer for this last step.

    Do the test.

    Test from a new user:

    -New user account.

    Your user profile is a set of settings that make your computer look and work the way you want it to. It contains your desktop background settings, screen savers, pointer preferences, sound settings, and other features. Due to this variety of personal settings and changes caused by other programs can cause corruption of your user profile and malfunction in system usage hence the need for a new profile.

    On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In Run type control userpasswords2 and click OK; (There is a space after the control)

    On the Add tab, and Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).

    Click to create a Local Account.

    Enter a username and password, add a password hint and click Next and then Finish.

    In the Users tab select the name of the new user click Properties;

    On the Group Membership tab check the Administrator option, click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer and login to the new user account and see the behavior.

    If it solves the problem, you can transfer the data to the new user:

    In the admin user you created, press the Windows+R keys, type: %systemdrive%\users (in English and without spaces)

    and click Ok. Check your previous user's folder and click the left mouse button, it may take a while to process the data, in a few minutes access to your files will be released, select the folders you want to move, to copy them press (CTRL+C), to cut them press (CTRL+X) and to paste press (CTRL+V) in your new user.

    After migrating your data, delete your previous user: Press the Windows+R keys, type netplwiz and click OK. Select your previous user and click Remove.

    Hello, none of these worked. I am still unable to instill the game or any related content.
