I'm very sorry for bad news but according my 26 years experience in contacts with Microsoft there is no chances you'll receive any explanations or clarification. I'll be glad to make a mistake but...
Windows 11 Update requirements
Microsoft says my desktop processor isn't supported but under the specifications results it says that my desktop does and shows green checkmarks. PC Health Check gave these results below. Everything has green check marks in "See Results" screen of PC Health Check and the Red X that first screen of PC Health Check comes up and says the PC doesn't currently meet requirements. NOTE: This processor is no longer available but meets requirements per specs shown in the following link. PLEASE REVIEW THE SPEC'S AND ADD THIS TO THE LIST OF SUPPORTED PROCESSORS. PLEASE REPLY WHY IT DOESN'T MEET QUALIFICATIONS IF YOU DECIDE IT STILL IS NOT QUALIFIED. The processor specs are given in this link:

2021-11-06T19:38:32+00:00 What criteria, if anybody knows, was used to create the Windows 11 update list of processors that I reviewed before contacting Microsoft? Was it age of the processor, availability of processor, and/or actural specs of each processor. I have heard all 3 mentioned and was told this processor was Gen 5 and Gen 6 and above was needed. I sent the same request as posted here to Intel.

2021-11-06T19:14:27+00:00 The processor requirement is the most restrictive; supported processors include 8th-generation and newer Intel Core processors as well as AMD Ryzen 2000-series processors and newer. These are all chips that launched in late 2017 and early 2018. Older computers can't officially run Windows 11.

To all those looking at the list of approved processors please be sure you are looking at the ones approved for windows 11. See example image below.

2021-11-06T19:08:19+00:00 Thanks for your reply. I also sent this same post to Microsoft to check and reply back. They should be able to tell me exactly why, or why not, this processor is not qualified. Posted here in case others have inquired and have an answer for this...THX

2021-11-06T18:49:41+00:00 Hi Robert,
My name is Igor, I have 12 Microsoft MVP awards. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you. I'm sorry you have a problems.
We are other users answering here not Microsoft employees so sorry but we just cannot review the specs.
Seems there are some security requirement but not mentioned in an announced requirements.
Microsoft says: New Windows 11 devices must use... the latest available modern device drivers based on Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps (DCH) design principles.
Basing on my experience in contacting with Microsoft developers I suppose some drivers for old CPUs are not based on these principles so some work is required from Intel, AMD, Microsoft to update old processors' drivers and these companies do not want to spend resources for this updating.
you may find a list of supported CPU at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardwa...
Please note, you may install Windows 11 to unsupported PC but at your own risk. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/ins...
