Hi Ruslan,
My name is Igor, I have 12 Microsoft MVP awards. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you. I'm sorry you have a problems.
Kernel-Power 41 (63) error mostly means the problem with power supplying. Can you replace power supply unit for checking? It may mean problems with power management in BIOS or motherboard too.
And you may try to turn off all CPU power saving modes in BIOS (different C states) to check if the problem is in motherboard.
See some details at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client...
Hello, Igor, nice to meet you.
I thought for a long time and wondered about a weak power supply, but it seemed strange to me that the Ryzen 5 3600 processor, which, according to the passport, takes from 65 to 90W + 550W video card + other system elements, would overload my power supply by 750W. Even if we take the maximum peak = 550W on a video card, then 750W still does not work. Plus, I used various calculators to calculate the power consumption of my PC, an average of 450-550W came out, with another 200-300W in stock. Could this be the case? If so, how to navigate when buying a future power supply unit, if the manufacturer writes "conditionally", take it for 800-900W or what? I just do not want to take an overly powerful PSU, which will use 500-600W, and the rest will be disposed of in vain. After all, the calculation is taken by "rough" summing up the powers, it turns out just ~ 600W, but not enough.
It won't be possible to replace it in the near future, it means you need to choose a good one and which will definitely be enough, but I still don't know what power to even take, if using calculators it does nothing.
In BIOS, I set the following parameters responsible for the power consumption of the processor and turbo boost. All according to the recommendations from the community.
AMD Cool & Quiet, Global C-State Control, CPPC, CPPC Preferred Cores as Enable, first time they were AUTO or DISABLE. Power Suply Idle Control as Typical, was also in AUTO mode.
That is, I did not set any energy-saving modes, moreover, in the AMD power supply I choose balanced, alternating it with the Windows power plan, which is also balanced. Tried the best performance too.
I turned off the fast boot of Windows, removed the automatic shutdown when an error was detected, I will wait for the error to appear so that the log is written.
From the link above, what you provided - I have scenario # 3.
In addition to the PSU, can there be something else? Suppose a driver for a network card or other hardware? Some also write about it. And in general, how can this be related.
Thanks you.
