I have lag in the game but I have good internet and good computer.

Hi,

I'm late for a few games. This is a bit strange because I have a good internet and a good computer.

My internet speed is 50 MB and these are the components on my computer:

CPU: I7 9th

RAM: 12 GB

GPU: gtx 1050 4 GB

And the game is installed on hdd but I have the option to transfer the game to SSD.

I know this is not the best PC, but many pages say that these components are good enough.

I do not know why the games are delayed (gta v and more required), so anyone can help me please.

Thank you,

Sepehr

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Lags and stuttering in games can be caused by outdated drivers or background applications. Also, Make sure Windows is updated.

    1. Check if you have any available restore points. Then perform a system restore.

    Use System Restore

    https://support.microsoft.com//windows/use-syst...

    1. Try to reinstall and update these device driver graphics, audio, and chipset. Download them at the Manufacturer's support website and install them.

    A. For the graphics driver -Clean all graphics drivers using DDU.

    Display Driver Uninstaller

    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-dr...

Run the application from Safe mode.

    https://support.microsoft.com//windows/start-yo...

    Select Clean and restart

    Once the drivers are uninstalled

Install the latest Graphics Card driver

    B. If it's a "network lag/latency". Reinstall and update the network drivers.

Also, try to reset the network.

    Search Network Reset

    Click "Reset Now"

    Restart your computer

    1. Disable unnecessary applications programs that are running from the startup

    Try these steps

    Press CTRL+ALT+Delete

    Then click on Task Manager

    Then Navigate to Startup Tab

( from there you can Disable unnecessary applications running from the startup)

    1. Perform a Clean Boot to disable unnecessary startup and services

    https://support.microsoft.com//topic/how-to-per...

    1. If you have any third-party antivirus or cleaners installed. Fully uninstall them using their removal tool.

    restart your computer

    1. Run "system file checker" to scan and repair corrupted system files

Open the command prompt as an administrator.

Then type in each command and press Enter.

    sfc /scannow

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    restart your computer.

    1. This will upgrade and repair your system without losing your files and apps.

Download the Media creation tool here.

    https://www.microsoft.com//software-download/wi...

    Then choose "ISO"

Once it is downloaded click or open the file using the windows explorer

Then open or click "setup" to run.

    • The following is assuming you have not been running the games without lag until recently...

What are the frame rates when your games lag ?

    • A major cause of lag is using too high graphics settings for the system. This will be more apparent if you have more

lag while driving than on foot. Anything that suddenly increases processing requirements, such as a large battle can cause lag

if the frame rates are averaging 40 fps or less.

The quickest test if settings are too high is to lower the games resolution. If that helps you could raise the resolution again and lower

some of the other graphics settings. Anti-aliasing is a good start as it is very system intensive (low FXAA is the least system intensive AA)

    • Running games in single player mode off line is less likely to cause lag than when playing on line, regardless of connection speed,

as playing multi-player on line require a bit more processing.

    • While it may be adequate to run the game the GTX 1050 is the lowest level of the Nvidia gaming series gpu's.
    • What is the boost speed of your intel i7 (and which 9th gen i7 ) ?
    • Judging by the 12GB RAM, I assume you are also using a laptop. Laptop mfg's often 'impress' buyers by using mismatched RAM

capacities. The problem here is performance is reduced somewhat because the RAM will run in single channel vs dual channel mode

when using two RAM sticks with different capacities.

    • If this is a laptop, the GTX1050 may also have reduced performance as laptop mfg's often hobble the clock speed to help keep heat down

and extend battery life when gaming using battery power.

    • Transferring the game to SSD would only benefit loading times, and only by a few seconds.
