I understand, but my question is, if you just connect the adapter, Windows recognizes it?
As it is usually not necessary to manually install drivers for these wireless adapters.

Hello everyone im trying to install a driver for the TP-Link(wireless usb Wi-Fi adapter)Model:TL-WN821N V6 and im getting a weird error when trying to open Setup.exe i tried every fix i found but i can't fix it i tryed installing it on another pc and it worked fine. The problematic PC is running windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 21H1(OS Build 19043.1320) The one that it worked on runs windows 11 Pro not beta or preview its running the official version and the newest update. On the driver's website it says thqt the driver is compatible with windows 7,8,8.1 and 10. I tryed going into properties and putting compatibility mode it didn't work.

Yes well it seems to be working now i changed a setting and it works without the driver thanks for the help i guess.
I agree with you about the Wi-Fi usb adapters they do give a lot of problems i had many they aren't very expensive and they tend to cut of network connection from time to time but i don't have a problem with the usb adapter itself i have a problem with the driver when i try to install the driver on another pc the same one without even pluging in the adapter it works on this pc i can't even open the Setup.exe and yes windows does install a default driver but the adapter can't reach 100mbps with the default driver it gets up to 50 only i have a gigabit internet and i know that such a simple device and it's usb 2.0 it can't get to a gigabit let alone 200 or 300mbps but it can go to at least 100mbps. The problem seems to be not from the driver not from the adapter but from windows.
-Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!
Well, Wireless USB adapters tend to give a lot of problems, I say from my own experience of years working at an ISP provider, solving several similar problems.
I understand that the adapter is working fine on another PC, but I don't understand the need to install drivers for a simple device, Windows can install drivers for the adapter to work without problems, if you just plug it in, it doesn't work?
Let Windows reinstall the generic network drivers, then restart the PC and just insert the adapter:
Windows+i> network and internet> network reset> restore now.
