My pagedown and pageup keys don't work. Sometimes even my home and end keys don't work

I have a laptop running Windows 10 now. My page up and page down keys don't work sometimes and at other times in addition to these keys, my home and end keys don't work. I use the ctrl+page up, ctrl+page down, ctrl+home, ctrl+end combination shortcuts many times on different browsers and I find no problem there, it's just when I'm trying to use page up, page down, home and end keys individually on the same browsers, Word, PowerPoint, PDFs, etc. I get no response from the action.

I don't know about the impact of scroll lock, so I tried with an external physical keyboard and I got the same results. This is how my on-screen keyboard looks like now:

What can I do to resolve the issue? Please help. TIA!

    Good Day XDEROY,

    My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

    Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.

    -Look for Keyboard and run the troubleshooter.

    Once done proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Keyboard

    -Look for Keyboard driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

    -Look for "Browse my computer for driver

    -Let me pick drivers available drivers

    -Choose an old driver and use it.

    Restart your computer and check the keyboard keys.

    Also, this thing happens fairly regularly. Is there any way to stop it for once and for all?
