ELAN SMBus driver

I'm trying to find the update ELAN SMBus driver 15.21.1.21 and it's either from dodgy websites or you have to pay money for the update from third-party programs. I have already gone to my drivers and it says it's up to update but it's not.

    Hi Pol666

Honestly, the best option is to completely uninstall Driver Booster and let Windows updates keep your drivers up to date.

    Yes.

I'm in a similar situation regarding the same driver you have. My installed version is 15.21.1.12 and D.B. tells me that 15.21.1.21 is "available." So I'm just going to wait and see what it does eventually since I also use their free service.

D.B. does its best for paid customers. But my experience is that they eventually do an update for free customers. One thing to note for free customers, however, is that they may do an update but not to the most current version available which matches the characteristics of your system. Sometimes they'll do an update to a version later than what you have installed ... but not all the way up to the most current version.

The vendor (IOBIT) is walking a line between paid and free users of the "same" service.

    Hope that helps...

    Hi Pol666

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The only safe places to get driver updates from is the support page for your laptop on the manufacturers website, or from the Windows update catalog page (linked below)

    Hi Pol666

Do you have Driver Booster installed and that is where you are being asked to pay for that driver?

If so, there is absolutely no need to do that, it is a scam.
