How do I get contacts from Windows 10 People into Windows 11 People?

I just acquired a laptop with Windows 11 to replace a laptop with Windows 10. I need to copy my contacts from PEOPLE in 10 to PEOPLE in 11. I have spent days looking for an answer with no luck. Help is needed since Microsoft is of no help. Ironically my emails all went into 11 automatically and work perfectly.

David , please refresh your browser as I have added Support for WIndows 11 to my earlier steps to recover from failed Updates which cause Windows to fail to start.

Well let's fix them both then, David.

Work through the steps for fixing Windows startup, report back results

As to the People app issue, People app no longer exists. As explained your contacts are added along with your Mail account in Windows Mail. If not then remove the account and add it back.

I am very sorry I have two open work orders one on the new laptop and one on the old laptop. I must’ve got confused which was which. Case number 103-256-4135 is for the new laptop with the problem with people. Your laptop and 103-349-4992 and it’s the one that cannot access the C Dr. I’m trying to get one of the laptops working right so I’m juggling things here and I’m sorry I got confused.

    David -

You wrote "The real problem is in doing an update that failed it wacked the operating system to the point that drive c I can no longer access it."

I gave you the steps to recover when an Update causes WIndows not to start which is what you said was the problem now.

Are you now saying that you can start Windows? Yes or No?

If as you said Windows cannot start then please work through the steps I gave without delay and it will fix WIndows one way or the other. Thousands of people have used those steps and got Windows started.

If this is not exactly what you need, please explain a bit more so I can help you better. Otherwise feel free to ask back questions and keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until this is resolved.
