Unable to Print/Scan/Copy on Epson ET-3760 with Windows 11.

Help!

I upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11 on my Dell XPS Desktop. At the same time my old Brother Multi-function printer was having problems so I thought it was a good time to upgrade my printer to an Epson ET-3760. I installed the drivers and things seemed to work. But, everyday I shut down my computer and when I cold boot and try to print/scan, I have to run the Epson Connection Utility, and then I can print. I contacted Epson Tech Support and the issue seemed to be resolved as I could print/scan. Then, I shut down and did a cold boot and the issue happended again. I called Epson Tech Support again and went through a more throurough process. Again, I could print/scan, but while the rep was still on the phone I did a cold boot and the issue happened again. The 2nd Epson Tech Rep stated that the Epson drivers were correctly installed and the lingering issue was an operating system issue and I would have to contact Microsoft Tech Support.

What now?

Thanks for your prompt reply Carlo.

I followed your suggestion, uninstalled in DM, reinstalled, and I was to print, scan, and copy. :-)

I then shut down, and cold booted, and could not print, scan, or copy. Ran the Epson Connection Utility and was able to print, but not scan, didn't bother to copy.

Greetings IlliadConnally. I'll help you solve your problem, don't worry, just follow the instructions below.

Try using the Windows 11 troubleshooter.

    • to do this, right-click the Windows Start icon, then click Settings and Under "System", scroll down and click on ''Troubleshooting".
    • Then click ''Other troubleshooters' and click ''Printer''.
    • Windows will begin to encounter problems with your printer and will fix them if possible.

If the answer helped, click "Yes" under "Was this reply helpful?" to help other people.

Thanks again for your suggestions. Yes, this is odd, and frustrating.

I used the link to drivers you provided. I was able to print, but not scan. I rebooted, and could not print, or scan. I ran the Connection Checker and then could print, but not scan. I rebooted and could not print or scan. Ran the Connection Checker and then could print, but not scan.

Thus, the issue with printing has been consistent despite installing drivers. The scan has not worked until right after installing the scan drivers, but upon rebooting will not work again.

As I stated in my initial post on the MS Community regarding the print/scan issue, I spent a few hours with Epson Tech Support and they had me run through similar uninstall/reinstall procedures. Eventually they concluded that the Epson drivers are installing properly and the printer/scanner/copier is functioning. Thus, the problem is not with the printer, or the drivers, but an operating system issue, and suggested I contact Microsoft.

I attempted to contact Microsoft but could only locate the FAQ's and the Microsoft Community. I posted my issue here in the community and have received numerous suggestions that have helped but not resolved the issue.

Any other suggestions, and/or how to get Microsoft directly involved?

Thanks for your suggestion Patrick. I followed Carlo's suggestion and received momentary resolution, but only temporary.

I then tried to follow your suggestion to use the Win 11 Trouble shooter, but it did not find an error.

    Again, thankjs!

    Good Day IlliadConnally,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Printer

-Look for Printer driver that was installed

    -Right click and Uninstall

Once uninstalled go to this link below and download and install the driver.

    https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/ET3760_Lite_NA.exe

Once downloaded and installed restart your computer and check the Printer.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
