How to turn off Windows Key “ Window + Ctrl + D”

I’ve looked everywhere on how to disable the “Windows + Ctrl + D” key. When I play video games, I use ctrl to move faster, and WASD to move around. I’ve had this recurring problem where when I mean to press ctrl + d, my hand/finger accidentally clicks on the windows button, therefore exiting me out of the game and putting me in a different window/tab. I’d really love to know how to permanently disable this key bind, because I do not have any need for it and it also interrupts my gaming! Please help.

    Ciao Maggie,

I'm Ugo, willing to help other Microsoft customers.

Regarding your question, you can disable Windows shortcut using Group Policies.

    1. Type gpedit + ENTER on your Windows Search Bar (bottom left)
    2. In the new window, go to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> File Explorer
    3. Find Turn off Windows Key hotkeys and double click on it
    4. Select Enable, then click ok

Please let me know if this helped somehow.

    Ciao

    Ugo
