    My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows user and community member like you.

    That is definitely a scam, it a phishing email, Windows Defender is free it is a built in anti-virus in your computer, ignore it , don't provide any personal information of any especially credit card details.

    I called the number listed in the email yesterday and today several times and just rings and rings,. Saw no where in email that credit card or personal data was being asked for. Check my bank account and no such charge .

    I got the email Jan 12 called the number the guy told me to sign in on my laptop so I could cancel I asked him what card did u charge he wouldn't say so thank u for letting me know that it was free and he was a scammer this helped me out alot

    I am in receipt of this email also, tried calling the number provided which is different than shown above. All I got was an answering machine today unable to reach the number. I have been checking all my credit cards and bank account because it states 1/15. I also checked my Microsoft account and can not locate any information
