My monitor suddenly loses signal from my PC but my PC is still running (With music aswell but sometimes a buzzing sound) which suddenly restarts itself within a few seconds

This occurs whenever Iam playing some demanding games such as Halo Infinite and Star Wars Battlefront II, it only took about 5 minutes in game for it to happen. This also happened once when I was playing Skyrim Special Edition for about an hour.

My PC just recently turned 1 year old but back then during its first months I could play Star Wars Battlefront II without any issues. I used to have a monitor with a resolution of 1360x768 during that time. Currently Iam using a monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 when this issue happened.

I surrendered my GPU which is under warranty and recently had it now after a month but this problem still persists. Not everything is lost, since I managed to find a solution from stopping the crash to occur. All I would do is change the resolution settings in game into 1360x768 and I managed to play both Halo Infinite and Star Wars Battlefront II for hours without any crashing.

Although Iam fine playing with a lower resolution than my current monitor's native resolution, I would still like this problem to be addressed.

I finally found the solution. It would seem my computer is having a hard time connecting to my monitor because I was just using a hdmi adapter to a VGA cable. I now switched to a DVI cable and plugged it directly to my unit and it now works perfectly with the native resolution. Played the game for quite an hour and I did not expirienced a single crash. My deepest gratitudes to you and to all those who had lend their time to my question. Stay safe and God bless you all!

I did all the steps you provided to me. In the BIOS, I putted them all in their default settings. I uninstalled my current graphical drivers using the DDU while in safe mode. As I rebooted into normal windows, the system had automatically reinstalled my graphical drivers after a minute. Despite that, I still installed the latest drivers for my gpu in its manufacturing website, and restarted my computer once again. I soon followed the last step as I did the Memory test using the MemTestX86. It took about 18hours to complete 8 passes, no errors were detected. After that, I rebooted my computer once again and tried the game. After all of that, the problem still persisted. Monitor gets disconnected and PC crashes after 5mins in game, when using the 1920x1080 resolution.

Thank you all for the help, but I think the only thing that prevents the crashing of my PC is when I dont play such demanding games, or atleast set their resolution to 1360x768 and anything below. Anything above seems to disconnect the monitor and crash the PC, regardless of the graphics quality settings.

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. The dump files consistently indicate the Nvidia graphics driver/card is causing the crash. If you are overclocking. reset all settings to their default values.

    1. Download the latest driver from the Manufacturer's support website and clean install it. Also, try the older driver if the latest driver didn't work.

    Select "Perform a clean installation"

    then restart your computer.

If you are overclocking. reset all settings to their default value.

    1. Clean install the graphics drivers using DDU. Uninstall both integrated and dedicated graphics drivers.

Install the latest Graphics Card driver

    1. Reinstall and update these drivers Chipset, network, and sound drivers.

Download the latest driver from the Manufacturer's support website and install it.

    Restart your computer.

    1. Perform a Memory test to detect if you have faulty memory or can be a bad memory slot. We need at least 8 passes.

I tried one of the solutions in the link that you have shown me, such as formating the disk and doing a clean install of Windows 10. Sadly, the problem still persists. My monitor loses signal and my PC crashes. Although when I sent my unit along with my monitor to be tested by the technician, the game worked smoothly without disconnecting or crashing. How could it work in their place but not at my home?
