Yes, I use it and it does exactly what it says at the sordum website; nothing more and nothing less. Just run DC, click Disable Windows Defender, then you can exit the program. Defender will not turn itself back on until such time as you run DC and Enable Windows Defender.

    Google search for "Defender Control". Just run Defender Control and it's one click to disable or enable.

    Be warned that Defender will detect it as Hacktool.DefenderControl for obvious reasons, so you'll need to exclude it from detection.

    To add an exclusion:

    Go to Virus & threat protection > Toggle off Real-time protection and move defender control to where you want it

    Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Add or remove exclusions > Add an exclusion

    select File > browse to the file
