Docking station not detecting monitor

Hello my friends,

Today I have received a new docking station, but I am having some trouble connecting my second monitor to it (main monitor is working). I am trying to connect:

1x 4K 60Hz via DisplayLink (WORKING)

1x FHD 60Hz via HDMI (NOT DETECTED)

I am using this Baseus docking station: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08XKBL82B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I first tried it on my work laptop which worked perfectly, laptop screen and both monitors were showing unique screens. However, on my private laptop, whose screen is completely broken by default, only one of my two external monitors is detected and working. Both laptops are running Windows 10.

I have previously used a different docking station to connect 2 screens to my private laptop, which did work. So I do not understand why it doesn't work now?

All drivers are up-to-date. And I tried restarting twice...

Could somebody help with this issue?

Thanks!

Hello, I'm Louie, and I'm happy to help you today. Hope you're doing well and safe there. I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your second monitor not being detected.

If your laptop won’t detect the second monitor, then run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to resolve the issue.

This checks for commonly occurring issues and ensures any new device or hardware is correctly installed on your computer.

    1. Right-click Start.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. Go to the View by the option on the top right corner.
    4. Click the drop-down arrow and select Large icons.
    5. Click Troubleshooting.
    6. Click View all option on the left pane.
    7. Click Hardware and Devices.
    8. Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

Try to Check the Display settings:

    1. Open the Windows search bar.
    2. Type in Display Settings.
    3. Check the option for Multiple Displays.
    • If your laptop doesn’t detect the second display, the option will not show.
    • In this case, make sure the monitor is turned on and plugged into your video port.
    1. Then, press Detect.
    2. Select the correct source labeled on your monitor’s controls so that you’re using the correct video port.

I would recommend you to try the solutions provided on the support article below.

Hope this helps and looking forward for good results.

    Kind regards,

    Louie
