Upgraded my Samsung Flex laptop to windows 11 now the touchscreen does not respond to finger movement however the S pen does work on the touchscreen. Called Samsung and they tried various solutions and determined that it was a windows 11 problem since the s pen works. Been going crazy for a month trying to get the touchscreen to work again HELP

Jerico, Thanks very much for the prompt reply. I've tried all of your solutions on numerous occasions and Samsung tech support did also via remote. None worked. I've tried about everything form the calibration to power management. Nothing has helped. Seems like I only have one solution left go back to factory defaults. I'm not too fond of that idea.

Jerico, Again thanks for your suggestions. I've completed the iso update with the exact same results the S pen works just fine but the finger on the screen does not operate al all. I looked at device manager touchscreen drive and the one listed is

Provider Microsoft Date 6/21/2006 Version 10.0.22000.1 Signer Microsoft Windows. and checking for driver update it lists this one as the latest version, I would think there would be a more recent updated version. Laptop is Galaxy Book Flex, 15.6”, 512GB, S Pen Included - Samsung model NP950QCG could not find any other drivers at Samsung. Looks like I'm at the end of the road.

Thanks again for all you help

    Hi BobHafer1 -

You're welcome and thank you for the detailed response. I see, when did you upgrade to windows 11? Performing factory defaults might be our last resort, for now let's try to perform the steps below.

    In-Place Repair

    • In-place repair/upgrade or repair reinstall is a process of re-installing Windows without touching any of your applications or personal files. In this way if there's any data corruption, damaged system files or missing system files on your computer, this repair will fix or repair them.

To start we need to download an ISO file of Windows 11 and save it to your computer. Please follow the instruction on the link below to create an ISO file

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...

After the ISO is created, follow the steps below on how to perform repair install on your computer.

Note: Please make sure that you're signed in or have administrator rights to be able to proceed for the repair install.

    1. Unplug all external hardware except mouse, keyboard and LAN cable.
    2. Disable or uninstall any third-party antivirus program/application to prevent them from interfering with the repair install.
    3. Run the ISO file that you downloaded, if there's a prompt asking you "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Click Yes
    4. Windows 10 setup will open, read the license terms then Click Accept button.
    5. Select Upgrade PC now then click Next button.
    6. Follow the on-screen steps.

This process will take some time to complete so you need to be very patient in waiting until the process completes. Once done , restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

Please keep me posted for the result.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.
