How to access screenshots on windows 10?

Every time I take a screenshot on my computer, I cannot find the image in the pictures folder nor the screenshot folder. I make sure to hold the window+shift+S but I still do not see anything.

How do I correctly take screenshots in windows 10 and where to find them? Thank you.

    Hello Jaybe92,

Good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

When you press Windows logo key+ PrtScn, the screen will dim for a moment, and you will need to check the screenshot file in a folder named “Screenshots”, inside your default “Pictures” folder.

You can check the link below for more details.

If this does not work, Please try the suggested methods below.

    1. Take a screenshot again then open File Explorer

Click Quick Access in the left side of the navigation pane

In the Recent files section, the file at the top of the list is the recently taken screenshot

Right click the screenshot file then click open file location

I couln't do EXACTLY as you wrote... Here, when taking a screenshot, I need to press the FN-key and the End-key, where the Prnt Scrn also is... Then, open Paint, and click on Insert and Files, and Save as... Very practical, if I need to mark and write anything in the screenshot, before posting it here...

    I didn't have any screenshot-folder in my pictures-folder...

But it now came when holding down the FN-key while I pressed the End/Prnt Scrn-key... This option is good, if I got a photo in low resolution on the net, and need to get it a bit bigger, for example in Gimp.

    Thanks for that!
