Computer screen shifting glitch

I know this is an hp computer but recently my screen has been shifting in this weird way. I've tried looking for new drivers but all of them are up-to-date. It keeps glitching like this with intervals of a few seconds. Recently though, Ive also had problems such as having black areas in my pc and purple lines in my computer so I'd think it's a driver issue of some sort. Since I'm a kid and I don't really understand how laptops work can anyone please help me? This computer is fairly new and I don't want to buy a new one. Thanks!

    Hello ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are experiencing a screen shake issue.

This kind of problem is generally because your screen refresh rate is set incorrectly. You can fix it by changing the screen refresh rate.

You can choose the highest option in Settings-Display-Advanced Display Settings-Refresh Rate

Then restart to see if there is a jitter problem

If the problem persists, find the corresponding settings in the intel graphics command center (your graphics card driver), for example:

At the same time, your other problem is that there are black areas and lines on the screen. This may be your screen is damaged, you can try to send the screenshot to other devices to see if there are lines.

Hope it helps! If any update, welcome to share with us.

Sorry for the message again, but the same problem arose this morning and I tried doing the same process that I did + the intel graphics one, but the flickering still happens on my pc. The Black areas + purple lines were fixed, though. Is there some internal issue with my graphics card, or another separate issue? Again, sorry for the message again.

Thank you so much for the reply! This screen flickering issue finally stopped after fixing the screen refresh rate, and then restarting my pc. The bug has always been a big inconvenience so I'm really glad it's fixed now. Thanks!

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that the problem happened again.

I think you may need to go to the official to check your graphics card and screen problems.

Screen jitter is generally a problem with the graphics card driver, but if your graphics card driver is ok, it may be a problem with your graphics hardware. At the same time, the lines and black areas on your screen may be damage to the screen hardware.

    Keep us posted.
