Display tablet not working after an update.

Hello, I am absolutely desperate at this point, because noone nowhere could help me with my issue.

I am an artist that uses Huion Kamvas 13 to work. It's a display tablet that works with a pen. I have been using it for months and few times already after the WIndows 10 updates the display on tablet stops working. I tried so much stuff, to no avail, but every time before the only thing that helped was manually removing Windows updates, which has made the display work immediately and without a problem. Two days ago Windows updated itself again and I woke up unable to work anymore. The problem this time being that I cannot uninstall two of the updates. The tablet is recognized by the laptop as a regular pen tablet, I can use the pen on it, but the screen is blank.

I am so frustrated and defeated, I tried everything I could think of, tried contacting Huion, tried asking question on Polish side of Microsoft site, nothing. Zero answers. I have deadlines to meet and I cannot afford to buy new tablet ATM. I tried looking for this problem online for hours upon hours, and although I cannot find much on Huion specifically, but looking for "display tablet not working after windows update" there are many threads with people having this same issue with different brands of display tablets, like Ugee or Wacom. All threads end abruptly and none have any answers.

I tried reinstalling drivers. Tried uninstalling all updates I manually could. I updated absolutely all drivers on my laptop from graphics card to audio and wifi, because, at this point I might as well, in case there is some weird magical corelation. I tried setting the dual display to copy the main screen, which obviously does nothing, because the second screen is not even recognized. I have absolutely no clue what is it about the updates that botches the display, in case it's relevan two updates that got installed and I cannot remove are Servicing Stack 10.0.190411371 and update (KB4569745).

Please if anyone has even a smallest thread of the idea what I could even do, please let me know. I have been at it for 2 days now and I think I am going mad

Hey thank you for the reply

I have spent days working out this issue, and I seem to found out what is the problem. It's my description in laymens terms, maybe someone smarter can correct me, but I hope my answer here can help anyone that would find this post later while looking for some answers.

Long stiry short: it's the power supply issue. For some weird reason something happens to the usb charging function after the Windows update, I have no clue what. It seems that the display of the tablet doesn't have enough power, hence why only the basic tablet function worked, without the display. In my particular case Huion has 3in1 cable that has one plug that can be plugged into wall socket, which has helped me get it to work. But it's still beyond my why the USB port stopped supplying enough power after the Windows update, and it seems to be more widespread issue, because I have seen some houndreds of comments online on that particular issue.

    Thanks

Hello - here is what worked for me.

    I made two videos,

Both these methods fixed the problem temporarily for about a month or so.

It might be a permanent fix for you. IDK

    Video 1: https://youtu.be/TPM4I20Sglc

reverting to old windows installed driver

    Video 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/YgfFfY02IZw?feature=share

install manufacturer updates of graphic card + check for full windows update.

What the problem with my Huion 13 was:

It was a power supply problem. i first disconnected the internal battery for 30 seconds and reconnected.... it should work if you shut down the computer it will happen again.

I noticed my internal power supply has some nics and is missing some screws so ill buy a new one....

    Hope these help.

hello, have you been able to fix the problem? this happened to me too right after I got the update. I didn't realize you could downgrade until after the window closed so I now have a non-working tablet and an update that did nothing but bring trouble.

    Hi DorotaMikołejko,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

It sounds like you are currently having a problem that tablet not work well after an update.Sorry for the inconvenience.

I see that you have done a lot of effort such as update the driver, uninstall the update, etc. As for your problem, you can try the following solutions to see if they can solve your problem:

    1. Check the driver

    1. Search the "service", find "Plug and Play", double-click to open it, change the type to automatic and start.
    2. WIN + X open the device manage, find the "universal serial bus controller", right click on the following each drive, uninstall equipment.Do not check if prompted to remove driver software. After uninstalling is complete, the universal serial bus controller may disappear, selected a other, right click on the actions menu "scan for hardware changes". Then try to reconnect the USB again.

    2. Perform a clean boot to eliminate third-party software interference

Please check here for details:How to perform a clean boot in Windows (microsoft.com)

    3. Maybe you can try to download other versions of the driver on the Huion official website:

Download Drivers And User Manual - Huion
