Windows 11 and JBL Quantum Duo speakers drivers

Hi

I purchased the JBL quantun duo speakers, when i plug the USB to the device the USB is not detected and nothing gets installed to allow for the speakers to function.

I logged a case with JBL and they advised that there currently is not any driver support for Windows 11 and only Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 nothing for Windows 11.

I have done all sorts of troubleshooting with JBL and Microsoft, uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager, restarting and no luck, trying to install the Windows 10 drivers and still no luck as it says OS not supported.

Is Microsoft looking at releasing any universal drivers for these brands as I am seeing alot of things are still for Windows 10.

Please advise.

    Hi Jerry,

I found a solution to my issue, the micro usb does not work on all device, i replaced it with a standard micro usb and that seemed to work for me,

The red in colour micro usb seems to be the issue.

i have let JBL know about it and are happy to refund for the purchase of the cable, try it and please share your experience.

    thank you

I have the same problem, purchase my JBL Quantum Duo last January 4, 2022 and i'm also having issues when connecting via USB. 3.5mm and bluetooth are both working fine though.

JBL also gave me the same response when I asked them regarding any compatibility issues with windows 11

device is detected under "Device Manager" but not showing on list of audio devices. Another thing I noticed is when connected via USB, my JBL Quantum Duo takes control of the Nvidia Audio via DisplayPort Cable and route the audio to the JBL QD speakers (Max Volume) instead of my monitor (MSI ARTYMIS 242C W/AUDIO OUT 3.5mm)

    Hello MicromanTG,

I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.

Universal drivers are already baked in windows 11. There are some devices that are not compatible with these drivers and thus require specific drivers which are released by the manufacturer themselves.

That being said I recommend sending feedback to Microsoft directly for this issue as they are requesting the same.

This is a user forum and hence Microsoft employees rarely visit here. Most of the user base is consumers like you and me.

The best way to get your feedback across is by using the feedback hub : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sen...
