Shuffle Photo Slide Show

I suspect it's no longer available because someone in MS application development is trying to make a name for him or herself by replacing old, albeit proven, features with new, by definition unproven, 'features.'

I did find a decidedly less effective way to display a slideshow in Windows 11:

1. Right-click on the folder containing the slideshow images.
2. Click on 'Select more options ...'
3. Click on 'Add to Windows Media Player playlist.'

It may take awhile for WMP to build a playlist, but it eventually displays the slideshow with precious few adjustments available.

Thank you for the response, that appears to only be if you wish to set your background up as a slide show. In Windows 10 you could start a slideshow from any folder that included photos, and while the slideshow was playing you could right click to choose 'shuffle'. Is this function gone from Windows 11? The only photo slideshow i see is the one you start from having a photo open which only goes in order, not random/shuffle.

I am facing the same problem, I'm on W11 since december and I don't know why this functionnality is no more available...

The option to shuffle slide show images is available along with setting the time interval in the next step after you select the folder for images.
