So, yesterday my Blue Snowball mic was working fine until this morning when I plugged it in. The first thing I noticed is that the red light wasn't showing up, then I went to Device Manager and tried finding the device but it just vanished, it didn't show up anywhere in Device Manager or in my computer. Can someone please help?

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. The red light indicator in your USB Blue Snowball microphone indicates that there is power going to the mic. Most likely this indicates that might be a problem with the cable or the mic itself. Ensure that the cable is attached firmly. Here are some things you can try.

    1. Try to unplug and plug it in other USB ports. If you are using a USB hub, plug the device directly into the USB port of your PC.
    2. Try using another USB cable that is compatible with your microphone.
    3. . Press Windows key + X

    then select Device Manager

    Click View

    then click Show hidden devices

Expand Sound, video and game controllers

Then right-click on your Mic driver

    then select Uninstall.

    restart your computer.

Then try to plug in again your mic.

    1. Disable USB selective suspend

    Press Windows key + X

    Then open "power options"

from there click on "additional power settings"

    Then under "selected plan"

    Click "change plan settings"

And click "Change advanced power settings"

    Expand "USB settings"

then Disable "USB selective suspend settings" for both battery and Plugged in.

    1. Try to test it on another working computer. then check if the red light indicator lights up.

If the red light wasn't showing up, contact the Manufacturer's support regarding the problem.
