My webcam doesnt work on apps (like discord chrome, and messenger app) but works on the camera app and obs studio

i got this new webcam few weeks ago and i just cant figure it out myself. ive tried reinstalling the discord and checking settings so it isnt the app itself. i then tried it in the camera app and OBS studio and it does work. i also checked the camera access and it does access my discord and even says it was accessed the time i tried accessing it.
thanks for any help. i really do need this fixed cuz my class starts next week and were required to open our cameras.

    It generally means that there is a virtual webcam device and you have to find that virtual device and point your app to it.

    Certain logitech webcam drivers/apps (like logitech capture) act as virtual webcam device and you have to point your app to the logitech capture as the webcam.

    If you look at a bunch of youtube tutorials on something like how to use obs --- some youtubers would point the obs software to the actual logitech webcam, other youtubers would point the obs software to logitech capture.

    These are the only settings that could restrict the use of your camera in other apps, have you checked the list of apps below that can access your camera? maybe those apps in question are disabled.

    As your webcam works correctly for the Camera app, from the system itself, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the system or webcam, but with these apps, I suggest you check out this information from Discord support:

    it didnt fix it completely but chrome does actually work and ill just be using the discord browser instead. thank you so much!
